Alison Shaw has called Martha’s Vineyard home since moving there for “just one summer” after graduating from Smith College in 1975. During that time the island has provided the primary inspiration and subject matter for her fine art and editorial photography.

Alison has 15 books to her credit, with three more on the way. She is a regular contributor to Yankee Magazine, Cape Cod Life, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and Vineyard Style. Alison loves to teach and frequently leads workshops on Cape Cod, in Maine, as well as on the Vineyard. She’s also taught workshops in Nova Scotia, Mexico, Italy, New Zealand, and throughout the United States.
