Author of seven novels including The Cape Ann and Gardenias, Faith Sullivan has also penned countless personal essays, book reviews, and humorous sketches. In 1996 she won the Milkweed National Fiction Prize and the Benjamin Franklin Award for The Empress of One. For the nature of her fiction, she was honored three times as "Feminist Find" by Minnesota Womens Press.
She serves on the Board of the Loft Literary Center, mentors writers, speaks frequently at libraries and encourages readers by attending book group. She estimates that she has sat in with at least fifteen hundred such groups over the years. Of writing, she says,I intend to go on writing until my pencil runs out of lead.
