Throughout our week together I will guide you in developing a body of work that represents the essence of you, with the backdrop of Santa Fe’s unique light and atmosphere. We will spend time both indoors and outdoors in our beautiful studio and wandering through the streets of charming Santa Fe and unfolding together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs well as delightful studio time, magical field trips will enhance our experience - you will be enchanted.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will begin our week with a full day in the studio. In the studio, we will begin with creating a handmade book which we will use throughout our week. We will sketch and draw, paint, and add scraps and collages from our adventures in this stunning land.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn Tuesday, we will spend the morning creating in the studio before heading out after lunch to visit the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and experience the work and story of one of New Mexico’s most iconic artists.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWednesday will give us another full day in the studio to continue developing our work and exploring the ideas, materials, and inspiration gathered throughout the week.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn Thursday, we will venture out for a full-day field trip to Ghost Ranch, immersing ourselves in the extraordinary landscape, colors, and atmosphere of northern New Mexico. Our time at Ghost Ranch will give us another opportunity to gather inspiration, sketch, take nature notes, and collect ideas to bring back into our work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFriday will be our final full studio day, allowing us time to bring the many pieces of our week together.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs each of our projects unfold you will see how they complement and build upon each other, all the way working together as you create a unique and exciting body of work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur main project will be to create a fabric multi-layered wall hanging. The fabrics will be natural linens, (that I provide) which we will glaze and dye in class.
