This course is an exploration of the different places where we begin. In the form of the memoir, this origin narrative can be a place, a person, a series of events, a thought, an idea, an unexpected reality–sometimes traumatic and other times joyous. Come and explore your stories with award-winning author Kao Kalia Yang through a combination of writing prompts and assignments in a workshop environment. Come prepare to write, share your work with other writers, and garner the thoughtful feedback of Kalia on your work.
