This workshop offers students the opportunity to become acquainted with the book as artistic form. We will use a day of mono printing as a foundation for making content for our books and build a series of sculpturally impressive book forms capable of holding interesting stories and visual content. Each day students will investigate forms like flag books, leporellos, map folds, and various one page structures that all use a simple accordion as their foundation.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDaily demonstrations of various book binding techniques using paper and fabric, \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003emark making, mono printing and paper cutting will give students interesting foundational starting points to explore while experimenting with the individual content of their book forms.
