We will employ techniques to simplify and abstract what we see and use specific color schemes and design tools to develop bold compositions. To further aid in our practice and study of painting, Philip will give short lectures on color theory, composition, and historical examples of how past and contemporary Masters create compelling work by distilling the design elements. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe will make outings to Ghost Ranch (where Georgia O’Keefe painted) and a nearby town or two to paint. Each day will include demonstrations, short lectures, painting onsite, and instructional review of student work. There will be ample time to explore on your own. A materials list and instructions are supplied upon registration.
