Collage is an improvisational medium that provides a wonderful format for experimentation and artistic growth. In this five-day workshop students make hand painted papers to create numerous small collages with an emphasis on experimentation and play. Classroom discussion will center on formal attributes, creative strategies, and the psychological experience of abstract form. The classroom atmosphere is relaxed and supportive with studio work supplemented by demonstrations and slide presentations.
