Lisa Solomon is a studio artist who moonlights as college professor currently at San Francisco State University. Solomon’s mixed-media artworks and large installations revolve thematically around domesticity and personal histories, often questioning the line between ART and CRAFT. She also is focused on bridging the gaps between being creative, living creatively, and making a living as a creative. She received her BA in art from UC Berkeley and her MFA from Mills College. She has exhibited and works with galleries both nationally and internationally, is in numerous private and public collections, and is continually tweaking artworks in her backyard studio in Northern California where she lives with her family, a bevy of pets and many many watercolor sets and spools of thread.
