INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION POLICIES

Covid Policy

MISA strongly encourages students to be fully vaccinated, along with any boosters they are eligible for. For the safety of our staff, students, and instructors we encourage social distancing to be practiced in combination with other sanitary precautions.

( Please note: some instructors may have additional  Covid requirements. These requirements are outlined in the workshop description. )

Payment Options

When registering, students may pay either a 25% down payment of the total tuition, lodging and meal plan or the full amount. Any unpaid balance will be due 60 days prior to the start of the class.

Cancellations

This policy applies to all registrants, regardless of the reason for canceling. Cancellation fees reflect the cost of registration, staff, instructor contracts, material acquisitions, and other services. We encourage you to consider the use of trip insurance to cover any unforeseen reason that would cause you to cancel the workshop.

If you need to cancel your registration you have the following options:

Transfer Policy

Registrants who cancel their enrollment in a workshop may make a one-time transfer to ANY other workshop. Transfers may be made either in the current workshop season, or any workshop in the following year. Workshop registration is transferable to another person, with the same time limit restrictions.

• All transfers are subject to a $200 transfer fee.
• All transfers must be made 30 days prior to the workshop.

There will be no refunds or transfers issued less than 30 days prior to the workshop.

Refund Policy

If you prefer not to transfer your workshop registration, the following fees apply:

  • More than 90 days prior to the workshop, refund of your deposit less the $200 cancellation fee.
  • Less than 90 days but 60 days prior to the workshop, refund of your deposit less the $400 cancellation fee.

Less than 60 days prior to the workshop no refunds; however, see the above Transfer Policy.

There will be no refunds or transfers issued less than 30 days prior to the workshop.

MISA Cancels a Workshop

MISA reserves the right to cancel a workshop 30 days prior to the start of the class if the minimum number of students has not been met for a class. MISA will notify the registrants if there is a need to cancel. Students will have the option to transfer to another workshop or receive a full refund. MISA cannot be responsible for non-refundable airline tickets.

We expect participants will attend the entire class as scheduled. Late arrivals and early departures are disruptive for both the instructor and the other students. Please make every effort to participate fully in your class. Tuition adjustments will not be made for late arrivals or early departures. Call us before enrolling if you have questions about these policies.

Should an instructor cancel and we run the workshop with an equivalent caliber instructor, we do not issue refunds.

MISA Online Workshops

Payment Options are the same for both programs; however, unpaid balances will be due 21 days prior to the start of the course. Our Cancellation and Transfer Policies will apply with these amended terms

  • All transfers are subject to a $50 transfer fee.
  • All transfers must be made 7 days prior to the workshop.

If you prefer not to transfer your Online workshop registration, the following fees apply:

  • More than 14 days prior to the workshop, refund your deposit less the $75 cancellation fee.

Less than 14 days prior to the workshop no refund; however, see Transfer Policy.

Tuition for Area Residents

Full-time residents of Bayfield and Ashland Counties are eligible for a $150 discount for any regular course on a space-available, stand-by basis. In the event that the class reaches maximum capacity, local residents may choose to pay full tuition for a confirmed space or cancel without penalty. Cancellations for any other reasons are subject to the policy set out above. Local residents must present a valid driver’s license.
