Join us for this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a 5-day iPhone photography workshop for advanced and beginning mobile photographers.
With the beautiful and picturesque coast of Pacific Grove as our backdrop, Melissa, Charles, and Rad will guide you through not only the technical ins and outs of your device, but also in the artistic, imaginative aspects of creating with your mobile camera.
Our time will be divided between classroom sessions, demonstrations, post-processing instruction, and field excursions. Part of the time our larger group will be divided into subgroups rotating with each instructor. The small group size ensures personalized attention for everyone.
The retreat begins on Sunday evening with a welcome reception and dinner, followed by a brief orientation session. On each day of the workshop, you’ll participate in field sessions, classroom discussions, and app demos. And, you’ll have practice time and feedback to reinforce learning of the techniques, apps, and creative processes covered.
The content is designed for photographers of all levels to learn more about basic and advanced native camera settings, composition tips and best practices, helpful accessories, and the use of apps for both photographing and post processing your images, all of which are designed to help you unleash your iPhone creativity beyond your wildest imagination!
One of the highlights of this retreat is an inspiring field trip to the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The week culminates on Friday morning with supportive image evaluations and a photo showcase of your accomplishments.
*Note: Android users are welcome with the understanding that Charles, Melissa and Rad all use and will demonstrate various apps and camera features using an iPhone. Many apps and techniques work on both iPhones and Androids, and the instructors will highlight similar Android apps when possible.
