Bar Harbor is known for its stunning coastal beauty, its many yachts and lobster boats, and its views of islands and ocean settings that can range from glistening sunlight to thick fog and mist. The Town’s Main Street and the thoroughfares surrounding it are absolutely charming with a Norman Rockwell look everywhere thanks to the colorful, clapboard storefronts that house local restaurants and shops.
These scenes and views from Cadillac Mountain within nearby Acadia National Park provide a wonderful and unique experience for our photographers, painters and sketchers.
The Atlantic Oceanside Resort has panoramic ocean views and waterfront access to gorgeous Frenchman Bay. It is just one mile from the shops and restaurants of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. and free shuttle service to downtown Bar Harbor and around Mount Desert Island.
Accommodations
Atlantic Oceanside Resort is set on 12 acres of oceanfront land and includes a spa and exercise room as well as both indoor and outdoor pools. This informal resort with a private beach is 1.2 miles from Downtown and 10.7 miles from Bar Harbor Airport. There are also nature boat tours from it’s private dock and free shuttle service to downtown Bar Harbor and around Mount Desert Island. Atlantic Oceanside’s “run of the house” accommodations give you easy access to all the amenities and features private balconies and patios with ocean views to Frenchman Bay.
We provide daily lunch and breakfast at the Resort. Students will have their choice of surrounding restaurants for dinner and the area’ wonderful seafood cuisine.
Your five nights begin the evening before your workshop starts with a welcome meet and greet. Additional nights may be available through the hotel.
