Blair Stocker is a quilt maker and textile artist, author, and teacher who believes that every scrap has a story. Through her brand Wise Craft Handmade and tools like the Ruby Ruler® color value tool, she helps makers see fabrics and the relationships between them in new ways– through the lens of color, contrast, and personal meaning. Her work will often combine a vintage or repurposed textile with a favorite new print, mix hand embroidery with machine stitches, to create quilts and handmade pieces that feel both modern and deeply rooted in tradition, and are full of color and pattern.

Blair’s teaching style is encouraging, process‐oriented, and grounded in play. In her workshops, students use slow handwork, and improvisational patchwork to develop their design voice. She loves introducing approachable techniques such as Chicken Scratch embroidery, and applying them to quiltmaking and everyday life.
