Krista Brock
Genre: Studio and Plein Air Painting
Krista Brock is a mixed-media artist and workshop instructor whose work explores curiosity, observation, and the creative process as a pathway back to presence and personal expression. Through watercolor, acrylic ink, collage, and intuitive mark-making, she invites students to slow down, notice more deeply, and reconnect with the joy of creating without pressure or perfection.
With over 15 years of experience as an artist and teacher, Krista’s workshops are rooted in process over product, encouraging experimentation, play, and creative trust. Her teaching blends structured guided exercises with open exploration, allowing space for both skill-building and personal discovery.
Krista is known for helping students move beyond fear of the blank page through approachable, layered practices that include small studies, intuitive painting, nature-based observation, and reflective creative exercises. Her work often centers on themes of wonder, transformation, and “portal” imagery, moments in the creative process where unexpected discoveries emerge and new possibilities reveal themselves.
She believes creativity is not something to achieve, but something to return to…
again and again—through attention, curiosity, and willingness to stay with the unknown.
Krista teaches workshops and immersive retreats across the United States.
