Róisín Curé

Róisín Curé is the author of several bestselling books on sketching on location. She has taught internationally in English, French and Spanish across Europe since 2015, and for USk Symposia in Porto, Amsterdam, Poznan and Toulouse. Róisín teaches sketching and illustration online and has a worldwide community who have met live online every week since 2020. She has an active YouTube channel and an Instagram account with the theme of sketching from life. Róisín writes a weekly blog on sketching which can be seen on her website, and you’ll also find her podcast Sketch Therapist there, and on Spotify.

She is the inventor of the SketchPocket, a cactus leather bag for sketchers that doubles as an everyday bag, and facilitates sketching in ink and watercolour anywhere. Róisín believes strongly in the power of sketching to bring calm to our lives, and is an advocate for encouraging anyone and everyone to sketch.

Róisín lives on the west coast of Ireland with her family and dog, and is passionate about nature and wild places. She also draws and writes comics, both fiction and non-fiction, and has a background in science, with a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences.
