Workshop Description:
Discover the joy of painting people in watercolor with Ted Nuttall’s workshop, “Painting People from Photographs.” Ted demystifies the process of capturing the human form, showing that it’s just as approachable as painting still life or landscapes. Through daily demonstrations, Ted will guide you in interpreting photos to infuse your subjects with life and energy. He’ll introduce techniques that enrich your ability to see and think as an artist, while also discussing anatomy, emotion, expression, light, color, and composition.
Ted’s personalized approach emphasizes one-on-one instruction, creating a supportive, creative atmosphere where every artist—regardless of skill level—can grow. His passion for watercolor shines through as he shares insights from his experience, helping you build confidence and a deeper understanding of what it means to truly “see” and interpret a subject through your own artistic lens. Whether you’re new to watercolor or looking to refine your technique, this workshop offers inspiration for all.
